Webkinz retiring pets[edit]
has anyone else noticed webkinz frequently retires pets a month after they are released 207.161.32.49 (talk) 02:12, 26 February 2009 (UTC)p.s. everyone should luv pandas cuz ther cute
It's more like the month after it's the Pet of The Month for the online accounts. Though there have been a few that retired within days or weeks of initial release.
The Black Freisian is retired and I added an alternate tag for it. I actually own the alternate kinz in question; I purchased it at a Hallmark in KY in '08. The serial on the tag is accurate for the Black Freisian (HM 145) and it registered online as such, but the actual tag reads 'Black Stallion'. There were a whole bunch of these at the time at this particular store and I don't know if it's a 'reissue variation' or if it's an 'error tag,' but I thought it bore mentioning in the list.

Lil'Kinz[edit]
I think it would be a good idea to put if the Webkinz has a Lil'kinz too. Daniel.M (talk) 22:57, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. I had the exact same thought when I first read the article, but nobody ever reads this talk page anyway, so I didn't think if I wrote it here anyone would see it. Epass (talk) 17:20, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Is this list still correct?[edit]
Semi-Protection[edit]
If anyone cares, I've gotten semi-protection on this article for 2 weeks because of the IP and new user vandalism. Epass (talk) 11:58, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- It is now semi-protected for 1 month. Epass (talk) 11:09, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism?[edit]
On the notes part of the article, someone has written;
'Webkinz stink'
Isn't this vandalism? Melon247 (talk) 14:18, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, yes it is. :) —/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 20:06, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
April webkinz[edit]
Can someone tell me why somebody hasn't added the Leopard Lizard, American Cocker Spaniel, and Chicken. Webkinz has officialy revealed them. User:Coby2—Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.164.235.222 (talk) 01:11, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Where? I can not find that information on the official Webkinz site, and it has already been agreed that we won't use Webkinzinsider or the like to confirm pets. Epass (talk) 16:06, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- They have now been officially released, so I added them. Epass (talk) 18:17, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
correction[edit]
i would just like to point out that despite the article in the Newz, the lil kinz leopard is NOT retired. if you look in the catalog, it is not listed as retired and i have seen them in stores recently. also, you may check out this link. just wanted to address this, thanks.

All Webkinz Pets List
- Half the fun of collecting these critters is finding a retired one available in the stores; just cause it's found does not meant it is not retired ;).
Lil Kinz Leopard is still not retired as of this notation and White Mouse is only available in Lil form.
oh yeah...took some doing but added a link to the Webkinz dot com graphic catalog ;) Enjoy!

New Webkinz Animals Ebay
- OK, noticed some marked retired that were not and some not marked that were. Also corrected some release dates. Bat is not listed as seasonal by Ganz so I removed that comment.
- What's this:
|-| Cat*| None| None| December 2009| No - Available as a trial pet only| N|-
- It should be listed with the other Webkinz at Ganz, but I can find no mention of it anywhere but wiki. There is also a Wintermint Reindeer at wiki but no corresponding at Ganz - double listing of Minty Reindeer? Some sites claim it's a xmas gift to Ganz employees, others say it's available in the eStore (online only pet); however you cut it Wintermint and Cat both smack of independent research. Headings?[edit]
Clearly, everyone here knows what these are, but can we put column headings (Pet breed, PSF, PSI, etc?) I'd do it, but I'm no good w/ tables. spider1224 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.120.187.80 (talk) 18:18, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Protection?[edit]
This page is being vandalized every so often, I am of the opinion that it could use semi protection. However, I'm new, don't know how to go about it, etc, etc. Does anyone have opinions on this? Zaixionito (talk) 22:17, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Ambiguous links[edit]
Are the links in the table meant to point to an animal species, or to a page describing the doll? If the former, then 'St. Bernard' should point to Saint Bernard (dog), though I'm not certain if 'Black Bear' means American black bear or Asian black bear. I rather suspect that the links might be unnecessary, as readers interested in Webkins stuffed animals are probably not interested in the sort of biological description they will find on those pages. If you love Webkinz, they are worth more than just the dollar value, but if you want to know what the dollar value is, here are some tips to help you figure that out.
Remember that the value can change at any time, though.
Step 1) assess your Webkinz.
Is it in new condition? No marks or damage? Are the tags sealed? Are the codes unused? Does it come from a smoke-free home (so there are no smoke odors on it)? Is it currently retired?
These things can all affect the value. For example, Cheeky dog goes for the most of any Webkinz currently and the prices have gone up a lot recently.
Step 2) Research what people are paying now.
Don't rely on old info about what someone got for their Webkinz 6 months ago or what someone says they think your Webkinz is worth. It is better to get some facts than opinions.
Check out the open auctions on ebay, but also check the completed listings to see what your Webkinz has actually sold for recently.
To do that you click on Advanced Search and then check completed listings only and also click on all items including store items and click submit. The auctions that show the price in GREEN actually sold for that amount. The auctions that show the price in RED asked for that amount, but didn't sell.
You can click on one of the completed auctions to compare the Webkinz that sold to yours or find out if it had unused codes.
On ebay you will get a range of prices that will give you an idea of the value.
You might also want to check the prices on Amazon.com to get some information, too.
